Handmade bentwood ring, made from walnut and cherry woods. Can be reversed with cherry outside and walnut stripe upon request.
Bentwood rings are made by steaming thin veneers of wood then wrapping around a ring form to construct a very strong lamination. Not only strong but very lightweight. Wood grain and color can vary slightly. For pairs of rings, I will use wood from the same pieces so that they match.
Finished with an all-natural hard wax oil. Commonly used for furniture, outdoor decks, hardwood floors, cutting boards etc. The oil is all natural, completely non-toxic, and food safe. This oil not only seals and beautifies the wood, but after fully curing will harden inside the wood and make the surface stronger. For more information, look up “Odie’s Oil”. The finish is water resistant and is fine for short exposure, however it is recommended to remove before bathing, doing dishes, chemical exposure, manual labor, etc. All finishes will take wear and tear over time, the advantages of this finish are that it will not ever chip, flake, or peel and that it can easily be repaired/touched up to look new again. Free lifetime refinishing, just pay shipping.
Bentwood rings cannot be resized, so it’s important to know your correct ring size. If you are unsure about your size, any jeweler should be able to size you for free. Be sure to try on bands the same width as you intend to order, as wider bands can feel tighter than narrow bands the same size.
If you are unable to go to a jeweler to determine your ring size, a free ring sizer can be shipped to you prior to starting your ring. Just select “Unsure, Send Sizer” under the size option when ordering your ring. Available in 4mm, 6mm, or 8mm width (8mm pictured). Any US ring size can be done, if you do not see your size listed, message seller with correct size, or add to notes section of order. In the event your ring doesn’t fit, even if it was your mistake, I will gladly exchange for another size.
