Bentwood rings are much, much stronger than solid wood rings. They will not crack or split like a solid wood ring can. Bentwood rings are made by steaming thin veneers of wood, that are coiled and dried. Then the coil is wrapped around a cylinder while gluing between the layers creating a lamination of 4 or 5 layers. Not only strong but very lightweight. Wood grain and color can vary. Each ring is made to order to your size. Since bentwood rings cannot be resized, it is important to know your correct ring size.
Durable, water-proof, high gloss finish brings out the grain in the wood. It’s okay to get the ring wet, and even wash it off, however it is recommended to avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners that could dull the finish.
