Handmade bentwood ring, made from red gum wood with a crushed malachite inlay.
Bentwood rings are made by steaming thin veneers of wood then wrapping around a ring form to construct a very strong lamination. Not only strong but very lightweight. Wood grain and color can vary. Each ring is made to order to your size and width.
Finished with an all natural wax/oil combination then buffed. This finish brings out the natural beauty of the wood grain and protects against moisture. It is water resistant, and is fine for short exposure to water however it is recommended to remove for longer periods. As with all finishes, over time the finish with dull slightly. When this occurs rub with any natural wax/oil combination for wood to restore luster and prolong protection. Free lifetime refinishing/buffing, just pay shipping.
Bentwood rings cannot be resized, so it’s important to know your correct ring size. If you are unsure about your size, any jeweler should be able to size you for free, or Amazon sells small sizers for about $3. If sizing at a jeweler, use the standard US ring sizes, do not use the “comfort fit” sizes. The rings that are called “comfort fit” have a more rounded inside profile, where bentwood rings and standard rings are more flat.
